Review: Austrian Airlines A320 Business Class

Bild
There are airlines you simply fly. And then there are airlines you remember. For many years, Austrian Airlines firmly belonged to the latter category for me. It was one of my personal favorite carriers in Europe, regardless of whether I was flying short-haul, medium-haul, or long-haul, and especially in Business Class. Austrian once stood for something increasingly rare in European aviation: character. Yet, as is often the case in a fast-paced aviation career, circumstances change. New routes, new hubs, new priorities. For more than ten years, I simply did not find myself on board an Austrian Airlines flight. Not out of intention, but out of coincidence. Until now. This Business Class flight from Hamburg (HAM) to Vienna (VIE) was therefore far more than just another European sector. It was a reunion. And reunions are always risky. Because memories tend to age better than reality. The question was simple and brutal: Is Austrian Airlines still Austrian Airlines? About Austrian Airlines: ...

Review: Edelweiss A320 Business Class Pristina - Zurich

Bild
It was time to return once more to Edelweiss Air, this time on a very different aircraft, but on a route that is anything but ordinary. Only a few weeks ago, I reviewed Edelweiss’ brand-new Airbus A350-900 in Business Class on the same sector between Pristina and Zurich. That flight represented the long-haul, aspirational face of the airline. This journey, however, would be far more representative of everyday European aviation reality: an Airbus A320, operating one of the most densely travelled ethnic routes in Europe. The Pristina – Switzerland market is intense. Driven largely by diaspora traffic, demand is high, yields are competitive, and the frequency of flights is remarkable. Numerous carriers operate on this corridor, among them GP Aviation , the quiet yet authentic national carrier of Kosovo, which alone serves 23 destinations from Pristina. It is a market where efficiency, reliability, and consistency matter more than glamour. Foggy morning in Pristina. GP Aviation 737-400 nex...

Review: Eurowings A320neo Biz-Class (Business Class)

Bild
While Luxvisor traditionally focuses on the high-end travel segment and reports primarily on First and Business Class products of leading international airlines, it felt time to take a closer look at something different. This time, I decided to test Eurowings, the Lufthansa Group’s low-cost subsidiary, on a domestic German route in their so-called Biz-Class (Business Class), aboard their brand-new Airbus A320neo. A new Eurowings As part of the Lufthansa Group, Eurowings has evolved from a simple regional airline into one of Europe’s most recognized low-cost carriers, connecting both major business hubs and hidden leisure destinations across the continent. The brand has matured, introducing refined fare concepts, improved cabin comfort, and a more consistent service culture. Today, Eurowings stands as a pragmatic yet stylish choice for the modern European traveler who values reliability and efficiency over luxury branding. (c) Eurowings Flying the Airbus A320neo represents a new chapter...

Review: Edelweiss A350-900 Business Class (Short-Haul)

Bild
Switzerland’s leading leisure airline, Edelweiss, has become the first Swiss carrier to introduce the Airbus A350-900 into its fleet, a compelling reason to test the Business Class experience on a short-haul flight from Pristina (PRN) in Kosovo to Zurich (ZRH). The opportunity arose because the airline’s first A350-900 (HB-IHF) is currently being operated on short-haul routes to allow the crew to gain the required flight experience on the new aircraft type. With its next-generation engines and extensive use of lightweight composite materials, the twin-engine Airbus A350 ranks among the most fuel-efficient wide-body aircraft in the world. Compared to the four-engine Airbus A340-300, which Edelweiss is now phasing out, the A350 consumes up to 25% less fuel and emits 25% less CO₂. Noise emissions have also been reduced by as much as 50%, setting a new benchmark for environmental and passenger comfort standards. Check-In It was immediately apparent that Pristina Airport (PRN) was strugglin...

Review: Discreet Luxury Dining in Kosovo – A Visit to Top Restaurant at Emerald Hotel

Bild
When one thinks of fine dining destinations, Pristina, Kosovo, may not immediately come to mind. Yet that very assumption makes discoveries like "Top Restaurant" all the more rewarding. Located just 20 minutes outside the city center in the luxurious Emerald Hotel, "Top Restaurant" occupies the crown floor of the building, offering an unexpected sanctuary of culinary excellence high above the vibrant streets of Kosovo’s capital. Under the skilled leadership of Executive Chef Përparim Babalija, this establishment is redefining fine dining in the region and doing so with remarkable grace. Ambiance: Elevated Serenity with a Touch of Class As I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a serene, upscale interior that strikes a balance between modern sophistication and warm hospitality. The dining room exudes understated luxury, with comfortable seating and refined table settings. A particular highlight is the wind-protected outdoor terrace, which offers a relaxed yet exc...
